Do you have these symptoms of entrepreneurship?
In September of 2021, I was in this amazing season of my life. I had started my first online business only a few months before, and I was sitting in my dorm room, making changes to the website.
I loved working on the business, it was a captivating experience where I could give my full attention to something, and it was all mine, everything that happened was a direct result of my actions. I was accountable for everything.
That whole fall was an echo of that, taking classes and working on the business, and it was something that I wouldn’t have any other way.
You see, when you are passionate about something when you care about something, it fascinates you. You want to have more of it, you want to do more of it, and in this case, I was as passionate as could be.
Entrepreneurs can be made, and anyone can be an entrepreneur, but not everyone should be an entrepreneur.
It isn’t because people aren’t good enough, everyone can be good enough, it’s because some people don’t have that fire in them for entrepreneurship, for the level of risk-taking, uncertainty, and desire to build something of their own.
So today, let’s talk about the 4 main symptoms of entrepreneurship
1 - You have a desire to be your own boss
Entrepreneurship is calling your own shots, doing things your way, and you want, crave even, the responsibility of being able to determine when and how you work, even where you work. You want to set your own hours and determine the kinds of tasks that you do.
2 - You like the idea of taking ownership of your life
You don’t like the idea that someone else tells you what to do, and if things go right or wrong, that it’s not up to you, that you don’t get to control that. You want responsibility and accountability over your life and actions, and you want to be able to control what happens.
3 - You have a passion for creating
You just love to make something, you love to figure out new ways to solve problems. You don’t need a manual or set of instructions to try and solve something, you are just naturally curious and have a desire to learn and to solve problems.
4 - A normal and balanced life doesn’t give you comfort
Having what everyone else has doesn’t give you comfort, it sounds like a prison to you. Being able to dedicate large sums of time and energy to something more, to strive for more, that’s what inspires you, that’s what makes you want to try even more.
