What the soccer field taught me about life
The field taught me who I was, it molded me, guided me, and taught me truths of the world I hadn’t yet understood
I love the simplicity of the game, learning to develop tactics, strategies, and skills to win.
It’s stepping on the field and knowing that for those 90 minutes, I’m free. For those 90 minutes, nothing else matters.
But I’m not the same man I was back then. I didn’t want it as much, I wasn’t obsessed with becoming the absolute best that I could be.
Now, I know who I was, and I know I’m not the same man. Things are different, I’ve changed. Being average was never an option, now being anything less than extraordinary isn’t an option.
I know who I am because I can look at who I was, and who I am becoming.
Why live your life for 90 minutes of playing when you can live your whole life that way? Living on the edge, taking risks, deploying strategy and tactics, and ultimately, winning.
Some of you are comfortable, some of you are playing it safe. Remember what it was like when you had to win, when there was no other option, when, through your pursuit, you felt free.
It’s time to get back to the lab and work on unlocking your full potential.
Because I know, just as average was never an option for me, it was never an option for you.
So ask yourself, what risk could you take that would unlock a whole new life for you?
What strategies can you deploy to reach your goals?
What things are you avoiding that need to get done?
We force ourselves to find the right answers by asking the right questions.
The only thing that’s holding you back, is you.
