The 4 Stages Of Optimizing The Human Experience
Isaac here,
I know it’s been some time since my last email
I took a small break to refocus my lens, sharpen my blade, and work on the direction that I wanted to go.
In my reflections, I realized that life isn’t just about performance, nor about pleasure.
No, life’s purpose is about meaning and fulfillment, doing what we believe is our calling.
But what of the emotions, feelings, and experiences we endure?
Should those still hold weight?
Here is my answer,
The function of a human is to live, not just exist. If we are to live properly it is to walk in meaning, look towards a better future, and absorb all the things that come our way.
It’s learning to feel everything, and appreciate the beauty in tragedy, as much as tthe glory in triumph.
It’s just as much about good and bad, the balance of all things.
So here are the 4 stages of optimizing the human experience
1. Self Awareness And Acceptance
This is your starting point, learning who you are, how you got here, and the beliefs that you hold true.
Meditating, reflecting, journaling, are 3 ways you can broaden your understanding of self.
2. Clarity On Your Brighter Tomorrow
Now that you have a starting point, what is the place you are looking to go, the person you want to become. What kind of people do you want in your life?
Ask yourself questions that reveal what you are working towards.
3. World Class Systems
Dial in your morning and evening routines, get an exercise regimen, and consistent sleep.
You don’t rise to your ambitions, you fall to your systems.
Build world class systems.
4. Focus on what you can control
The famous Stoic, Marcus Aurelius, said, “Focus on what you can control and accept that which you cannot.
Learn to love what happens, and get busy changing your part.
